Order tracking: now with more information
Order tracking is vital information for any ecommerce, whether it’s for the final consumer or in a B2B environment for professionals. In a B2B setting, there is important information you will need to know to manage when and how the products you ordered will arrive. For example, we’re talking about the number of packages, the delivery note number for each shipment, or knowing if the order will be delivered in more than one shipment.
One of the latest improvements in our B2B platform has been expanding the information available in the "Order tracking" section, which you’ll find in the details of any order. To access this section, you need to go to "My orders" (from the customer dropdown menu located on the right of the main menu) and enter the order you want to check by clicking on the reference number link or on the magnifying glass icon:
Once inside an order, you will see all the related details: products, the statuses the order has passed through, delivery and billing addresses... Among this data, you will find a table with all the information related to shipment tracking:
- Date
- Carrier
- Weight
- Cost
- Tracking number
- Number of packages
- Delivery note number
Where is my order? When will it arrive?
The carrier is the only one who can answer these questions. If you click on the tracking number, you will be taken to the carrier's page. There, you will need to enter the requested information related to the order. The tracking number will already be provided; you just need to add your postal code and the phone number or email you entered for the delivery address.
Once the data is entered, the shipping status will be displayed.
What happens if there is no tracking number?
If you access an order and instead of the tracking number it shows the message: "Pending carrier", this means our system has not yet received the tracking information from the carrier. This usually happens when the order is very recent (from that day or the previous afternoon). You will need to wait a few hours for us to retrieve the information and display it in the shipping tracking table.
